I like mine cold and preferably a day old. I heart mac and cheese leftovers.
Less milk and extra cheese, maybe some (yellow) mustard.
...just follow the recipe on the Kraft box.
No milk, a little butter and freshly-ground black pepper on top. I can eat the whole boxful!
Less milk, with salsa mixed in, sometimes with some parmesan cheese. When in comfort food mode, I like it with ground beef added to the above.
Excellent input. I'm willing to try anything, so if I remember I'll try out each "recipe". I encourage more readers to post their mac 'n cheese preferences. If I get around to it I'll post our recipes and add opinions when I test them out. This will be most helpful when I send my kids off to college.
Hey, don't see my comment here...I had mac n cheese the same night. I miss it so. I'm waiting for doctor's OK to attempt it and abandon all vile blended things.
That particular night I had it with salsa. Sometimes if I'm feeling need for protein, I will add tuna (salsa or hot sauce definitely needed with the tuna). I prefer it on the slightly underdone and dry side, but usually forget it on the stove and end up with it on the slightly overdone and wet side.
Rarely have it plain, but when I do I add plenty of salt and black pepper. More often just some tobasco. Sometimes I sprinkle nutritional yeast on it, 'cause I'm a freak and it's a way to get B vitamins. If I'm feeling extra decadent, I add cheddar cheese and/or whatever spare bits of cheese hanging out in the fridge.
I'm so hungry now.
That sucks! I hope you're eating yummy mac n cheese soon!
